Announcing ChangeLog
A few of you have wanted more frequent news updates, so I've started a ChangeLog ... every little change I make to LiveJournal will be documented there. I'll still post here in news, but only ever few days to summarize what I've done. Stuff I post here will be in English. Stuff in ChangeLog often be very technical. I'll appreciate replies to the entries in ChangeLog, but no non-technical ("how do i upload a picture???") questions. That should really go to support, anyway. :-)

I plan to use ChangeLog like I used LiveJournal back when I first made it... I'll post one-liners up to 30 times a day or so. Maybe more. So, be aware you may not want to add it to your friends list.

Looks great.... format is readable, etc. Nice to know about the little changes in addition to the big ones.

Bah, I threw your warning about friends list out the window once I went and checked it out. This will keep me more up to date than anything else... Even the things that are over my head on a technical level don't bother me... Knowing what is going on is good. I guess only die hard geeks and LJ'ers (me) should add it :P

I probably would not have noticed the "Your pictures" link in the sidebar or the contributor and supporter links for days otherwise.

Oh btw, dunno when you switched me to lead on FAQs but thankie :)

Off topic but here goes:

It might be neat to have a search by age feature on LJ. However I'd prefer to see the current features all working first, like the Search By Region. *encouragement* =]

a question

hi, i was wondering if there is any way to find out how many people view one's journal and how they access it, like for example where they linked to it from. i have a page on geocities and they have this feature, so that one can access the stats of their page: how many people have visited it, where they link from, etc. just out of curiosity? thank you,

veronique.

The green arrows at the top of comment pages.

Hopefully they will be changed so that they skip over protected entries.
Some people don't just want protected entries, but protected entries that no one else will know about.

Example : A highschool girl in Seattle just made a lot of her entries "friends only" because her mom wanted to look at her journal.
If her mom tries the green arrows, she's screwed.

Yo Brad....
with all of these changelogs and LJ staff pages (news, changelogs, so on and so forth)....

Would it be possible to implement two seperate friends lists? That way people could do like one for peoples normal journals, one for LJ stuff.

or one for the journals where people post long entries, poems, etc..., one for normal/short..

One for music lovers, one for poetry lovers/writers, one for lj stuff

The possibilities are endless.....
