Memories Filter: you probably already noticed this. when viewing your memories you can choose to view all, only yours, or only ones that aren't yours.
New Toolbar Icons: thanks to user chasingmadness for the new toolbar icons. Mine sucked. :-)
Login Redirect: I actually did this a few days ago, but didn't mention it... when you click a link to go to login.bml, it remembers where you were, and throws you back there after you're done logging in.
Netscape Login Fix: 4.x Netscape didn't like a cookie domain of .livejournal.com so the cookie didn't work at all when handed out from livejournal.com, but also didn't work when going to livejournal.com when you got it from www.livejournal.com. This is all fixed now... logout and log back in if you're using Netscape 4.x. But seriously, nobody should be using 4.x.... ugh.
MySQL Upgrade: Brought MySQL up to 3.23.21 so I can do --log-slow-queries and not have it count the time required to get a table lock.
No Comments Metadata: In LoserJabber, you can no specify that an individual journal entry can't be replied to, just like you can in 1.4.2 of the Windows client. I'll soon bring this functionality to the Web updater as well.
Documentation: Updated the protocol documentation to include info on dynamic web menus, and multiple user pictures.
Multiple user pictures: This is the big feature I've been working on and planning for awhile.
You can now have many user pictures, instead of just 1. You can then choose which picture to use when posting a journal entry, and if your client is smart enough, you can even have your picture correspond to your mood automatically. That is, you can have a "Sad" picture when you select "sad" as your mood. Fun fun.
To upload a new picture, go to uploadpic.bml. To edit your existing pictures, go to editpics.bml where you can specify what keyword(s) to use for each picture. To see somebody else's pictures, go to allpics.bml?user=bradfitz, or whatever.. just replace bradfitz with their username.
The number of pictures you're allowed to have at any one time depends on your account type. Free users can have 3, early adopters 6, and paid users 10.
I'd like somebody to write up a FAQ entry about how to use multiple pictures so I can link to it from all over the site.
For now, though, you can't actually use multiple pictures unless you're using the Linux client with this patch to the latest CVS version. If enough people bug visions, I'm sure he'll add support to the Windows version (which I'm glad I'm no longer dealing with.... *sigh*), but I'll also add it to the web updater soon as well.
I think that's all. Enjoy the new features. :-)
